
Nacbucodonsor-commonly known as Nabucco, opera in 4 acts by Verdi; libretto by Solera; premiered in Milan on March 9, 1842.
The opera tells pf the Babylonian captivity of the Hebrews and of Nabucco's madness, recovery, and subsequent conversion to the faith of Jehovah, despite the opposition of his daughter Abigaille.
