An opera house and opera company in Leipzig, Germany. It was built in 1693, making it the third venue in Europe after la Fenice(venice) and the Hamburg State Opera. It was destroyed during the air raid in December 3, 1943by Allied Force, and it was rebuilt abd inaugurated on October 8, 1960. The famed contuctors were: Arthur Nikisch, Gustav Mahler.... Riccardo Chailly etc.
