Mariinsky (Kirov) Ballet and Opera Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 1849 it was constructed on the project of the architect Alberto Kovas, the theatre was opened on October 2, 1860 by performing Mikhail Glink's "Life of Tzar".
